LOS ANGELES – Last year friends in the Serbian community and a
naturopathic doctor acquaintance kept urging veteran Canadian actor Nick
Mancuso (Ticket to Heaven, Under Siege, Real Gangsters) to
touch base with a bright young Toronto filmmaker, Robert Gulassarian. So, it
was only a matter of time before the two crossed paths.
When they met, the
pairing resulted in the development of a unique mentor/novice relationship. The
two, along with Mancuso’s acting buddy Lazar Rockwood (Witchblade,
Beyond the 7th Door) shared like-minded thoughts in daily coffee-soaked sessions,
dissecting the current state of cinema and more importantly talking about the
young man’s fascinating first feature film and plans for his future. more
